Researchers performed two studies. In the first, participants interacted either with a same-sex or opposite-sex partner. Researchers found correlations between intelligence and sperm concentration, sperm count, and sperm motility. The sample consisted of 405 U.S. Army Veterans. The use of a new tool revealed that certain sets of genes can affect a person’s intelligence. 9.1% of 16 year-old students had these genes. The researchers hope they may find more sets of genes that link to how smart someone is.
